A Seminar on “Ancient Indian Wisdom and its Relevance for the Modern World” was organized on 20th June 2017 in a fitting a manner by Samaalochana in Vijayawada.
Dr C.S.R.Prabhu, Director General (Retd), National Informatics Centre (NIC), New Delhi, was the Chief Guest and he delivered the keynote address. He highlighted the need for a focused approach towards understanding the Indian-ness. He unleashed several frontiers of the ancient knowledge and wisdom for the audience.
He established that Hinduism was the core faith which stands as the bedrock for the Philosophies of all the faiths in the whole world. His lecture got off to a spectacular start with the core analysis of 16th Chapter in the Bhagavad-Gita explaining the Traits of the Good and Bad. The explanation on Brahma vaakyas and Yoga sutras was exemplary. The concept of Eswara Prannidhana was discussed as the cardinal value for the human march.
He presented a brief explanation about Vyseshika of Physics and such other highly scientific phenomena in the ancient Indian Wisdom leading to the concept that the base for all the sciences is in the Vedas. He concluded that ancient Indian Wisdom offered a comprehensive treasure and it is our bounden duty to put it once again to the fore in its full realm for the benefit of the whole Humanity.
