Manya Sri Pulusu Gopireddy is no more

Sri Pulusu Gopireddy, one of the elder Swayamsevaks in Telugu Era who went to Warangal with his family and worked tirelessly for Sangha without thinking for a moment, is no more.

Stayed up-to-date on all matters, even though confined to the house for almost two years, that too most of the time in bed.

He worked as a lecturer in Vakadu (Vidyanagar) College, Nellore VR College, as well as in Vikarabad. He was the Founding Principal of Sharda Junior College in Vijayawada and the Principal of Syed Appalaswamy Degree College. He retired there. The then RSS Sar Karyavah Shri Seshadri attended his retirement function. After retirement he went to Chhattisgarh for three years and discovered new aspects in the service of Vanvasis.

Apart from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the Akhila bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad also received his guidance. He have been presidents for a long time for the platform of geniuses called Samalochana and have invited many elders to Vijayawada and arranged their lectures. He was the pioneer in setting up and leading Sri Vijnana Vihara School in Vijayawada.

He maintained ‘Manalomata’ column in Jagruti magazine for over a decade . He wrote Rana Pratap, Edigina Manishi (Novel), Taram marindi (Collection of Stories), Vikasita Sangha Kusumam (Introduction to the Life of Ma. Somepalli Somayya), Dari choopina Deepakalika (Introduction to the Life of Sri Guruji), Vanayogi (Introduction to the Life of Balasaheb Deshpande), Maruvarani Mahapurushulu and many other great books.

In Vijayawada, the death of Sri Gopireddy, who was a major figure in the community and nationalist movements in those nearby districts, was a major setback.
