Ancient inscriptions have been unearthed at Srisaila Mahakshetra. Ancient inscriptions have been found on a rock named PARUPU BANDA (Bed Rock) on the north side of the Rudraksha monastery. On receiving this information, Temple EO K. S. Ramarao and Telugu University Professor Chandrasekhar Reddy examined the area. In this order they found pictorial inscriptions that mirrored the history of the temple. E.O said that a report would be sent to Endowments department officials and the district collector to study the ancient inscriptions with technical experts. He said steps were being taken to preserve the ancient inscriptions.
