Tirumala Tirupati Temple has launched the ‘Gudiko Gomata’ (One Cow for each temple) program. As part of the program, Gomatas will be donated to selected temples first and then the program will be implemented across the country, said Shri Shiva Kumar, member of the temple board and also the chairman of ‘Yuga Tulsi’ organisation.
Caring for cows is everyone’s responsibility, he said. He demanded the government to declare the cow as a national animal.
“We will move forward with the slogan that this body, this life is for Gomata. In addition we have prepared plans to conduct awareness programs. A section called Go Sena is working on behalf of our foundation. We will set up a goshala in each constituency. In the coming days, we will set up the South India’s largest goshala in Telangana ” Sri Sivakumar explained.
