
Following the launch of the Bhu Suposhan (land conservation) movement across the country on the occasion of Ugadi Chaitra Shuddha Padyami, the soil conservation movement started with land worship in many places across the state in Andhra Pradesh as well.
Speakers in those programmes explained to the farmers the need to conserve the declining soil due to chemical fertilizers and pesticides through traditional methods. Speakers also said that the soil can be conserved and augmented through organic farming methods. Farmers enthusiastically participated in the event. Some farmers who practice organic farming have shared their experiences with fellow farmers.

The movement started on 13/4/2021 Chaitra Shuddha Padyami and will continue till 24/7/2021 Ashadha Purnima. The movement will explain the need for soil conservation, methods, organic farming practices and benefits to rural farmers.
