
First Sangh Pracharak from Kerala is no more. Sri P. Kumaran breathed his last at the age of 92.
Sri P. Kumaran become the first RSS Pracharak from Kerala. He was inspired by Sri Dattopant Thengadi when he came to Kerala in 1942.
He become a RSS pracharak in 1945. During his pracharak life, he sowed the seeds of Sangh in Thrissur and Palakkad districts. After 4 years of service as pracharak, he joined the Fire Service.
While in Service, he observed hunger strike to revoke the ban on RSS in 1948 and got arrested. He was released from jail in 1949 and joined ESI Corporation where he served for more than 36 years. He served as Kozhikkode MahaNagar Sanghachalak for a long time.
With his unmatched organizational skills and dedication, he spread the message of Sangh in Kerala ignoring the threats to his life from the communist forces.
