Tirumala Tirupati Temple (TTD) is arranging to celebrate Vaikuntha Ekadashi. TTD Chairman YV Subbareddy said the north gate would be kept open for ten days in Thirumala from December 25 for ten days. Subbareddy briefed the media on the resolutions of the Titiday Board of Trustees to this effect. The flagpole of the Srivari temple, the Balipeeth (The Altar) and the Suryaprabha vehicle at the Thiruchanur temple will be gilded. He said it was decided to make repairs to the towers in the walkway. The council also decided to run 100 to 150 electric buses for Tirumala.
It was revealed that steps are being taken to provide better facilities with Rs 10 crore in the orphanage run by TTD for orphaned children. “We have decided to use solar and wind power in the TTD area. We have directed the authorities to take action accordingly,” he said. He clarified that steps would be taken for the preservation of Sanathan Hindu Dharma . Subbareddy said plans are afoot to conduct Swami’s Kalyanams in all district centers.
White Paper on Temple Properties ..
Subbareddy said a white paper would be issued on the assets of the Tirumala Tirupati Temple. He said that it’s required to disclose details of assets that devotees submitted to the Swami. And he explained that the decision was taken after setting up a committee on assets and by consulting the Peethadhipathis. He also clarified that the Board of Trustees had decided to keep the deposits in the national banks. He said the decision to buy central and state security bonds had been postponed.
