Central government ordered AP state government for action against pastors who had fake caste certification
The Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has directed the Andhra Pradesh State Social Welfare Department to take action against Christian pastors who have misused reservations and to immediately send the details of action which taken by the state government. The orders were issued by the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in response to a report by the Legal Rights Protection Forum (LRPF). LRPF found that 70 percent of pastors who received financial assistance of Rs 5,000 from the government during the corona lock-down had Hindu SC and OBC caste certification documents.

Going into details …. The Andhra Pradesh government has provided financial assistance to various sections of the people who were suffering financially during the lock-down. In the same order, the government sanctioned Rs 5,000 to pastors, imams and priests from the Corona releaf fund which was alloted by the central government. The Legal Rights Protection Forum has submitted an investigative report to the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment On manipulations in those allocations of state government.
The Legal Rights Protection Forum proved in its report that About 70 percent of the pastors in total 29,800 pastors who received financial assistance of Rs 5,000 from the state government during the lock-down are actually had Hindu SC and OBC certificates. And LRPF clarified that Many pastors who have been baptized in the past and received pastoral training are still enjoying SC status, which is unconstitutional.
According to a 1950 presidential decree, a person belonging to an SC social class loses his SC status if he converts to Christianity or Islam. But it is noteworthy here that many of the pastors who have received financial assistance from the government have SC certificates. The Legal Rights Protection Forum has asked the Central government to take action against them. The central government has directed the state government to take immediate action against the Christian pastors who misused the reservation.
