Provide Free Darshan facility to the devotees – TTSS

Thirumala Tirupati Sanrakshana Samithi Chittoor District Plenary Session was held on Friday at Venkatakrupa Nilayam in Bhairagipatteda, Tirupati town. The meeting was chaired by TTSS district president Sri Harikrishna. Dr. M. Sundara Murthy and Shri K. Shyamprasad, National Convenors of Samajika samarasata were the chief guests at the event. On this occasion, the district president of Tirumala Tirupati Sanrakshana Samithi, Sri Harikrishna, said that due to the Covid 19 Pandemic situation devotees had not been able to visit Lord Venkateswara temple for many months. For the past few days, only 10 thousand people per day have been given the opportunity to visit the temple on tickets worth Rs 300.

Sri Harikrishna asked TTD to provide free darshan to at least 50% of the devotees who are allowed to Tirumala temple as per the rules of Covid. Harikrishna feels that It is very sad to hear that devotees are not given the opportunity to get darshan freely. He demanded TTD to provide free darshan facility to the devotees who are coming by walk to Thirumala.

And they said devotees of various tribal tribes like Nakkala ( Shikari) community have been living and worshiping Lord Venkateswara on the Thirumala hills since time immemorial. Those who make a living by selling items like beads and toys near the temple. TTD had promised to allocate shops to them during the construction phase of the shopping complex. Although shops were allotted to everyone after the construction of the shopping complex, it was a pity that these Nakkala tribel people (Shikaris) were not allotted shops. And Sri Harikrishna demanded TTD the immediate allotment of shops for  those 17 families that are who belongs to Nakkala (Shikari) community.

TTD funds were also asked to be deposited in scheduled banks within a specified period. TTSS leaders demanded that the decision to divert TTD funds under the guise of higher interest rates be withdrawn immediately.

Most of the TTD educational institutions had contract employees and TTSS demanded that teachers and non-teaching staff be recruited on a regular basis with qualified persons and that is also Hindus only.

Tirupati town president Dr AA Shridhar, district secretary S Subbaramireddy and Tirupati town secretary P Dhanunjaya Reddy were attended in meeting. TTSS activists from all over the district were attended in this meeting. Former TTD board member Shri G Bhanuprakash Reddy, TTSS city co-secretary Sri Ratakonda Vishwanath, campaign secretary Sri B Bharat Kumar, Sri Kiran Kumar Jain, Sri Perugu Venkatesh and Sri S Suman were also participated in this program.
