SAKSHAM helping hands for corona affected paraplegics

Saksham provides assistance in various ways to people with disabilities suffering from corona across the state.

Saksham distributed ration kits to 30 families of disabled people in Kotikalapudi village near Vijayawada. The event was attended by Arogya Bharati All India President Dr. Murali Krishna and Saksham Andhrapradesh state Secretary Shri Satyanarayana Murthy.

Ration kits were handed over to 50 families from Madhuranagar in Vijayawada and another 50 families from Kandriga and Payakapuram by RSS Andhra Pradesh Karyakarini member Shri Kanna Bhaskar, Andhrapradesh state Seva pramukh Shri Keshavayya, Sapta Foundation Chairman Shri Sarath Babu and Saksham Regional Secretary Shri Satyanarayana Murthy.

Participants in state and national level para sports competitions from Vijayawada were also honored as part of the event.

Also, ration kits were distributed to the families of 50 disabled people in Pedakakani village of Guntur district on the occation of Saksham Foundation Day (SAKSHAM Sthapana diwas). The event was attended by Guntur District Saksham Secretary Shri Pratap, Saksham Andhra Pradesh state joint Secretary Shri Vijaya Rama Rao, local activist Shri Shambhu Nath and others.

In this way, Saksham is recognizing the disabled people suffering from corona across the state and providing them with the assistance they need.

Ration kits and medicines were distributed to about 70 families suffering from thalassemia and disabilities in Kurnool and Nandyal towns. The function was attended by Saksham Nandyala Division President Shri Netla Maheshwarreddy, Sanghamitra President Shri Chilukur Srinivas, RSS Kurnool Vibhag Sanghachalak Dr Khader Bad Udaya Shankar, Kurnool Vibhag Karyavah Shri Manohar, RSS Kurnool District Seva Pramukh Sri Lingam Srinivas and others.

Saksham has set up a toll free number called SCAN to help victims of Corona in remote areas of the country.

In our state too, based on that toll free number, groceries and medicines were also provided to the victims in remote villages like Ramasamudram in Chittoor district.

Vehicles were set up and vaccinated for about 40 paraplegics who were struggling to get to vaccination centers in Visakhapatnam.

Saksham Andhra Pradesh Organizing secretary Shri Krishnamohan said that all these service activities could be carried out with the financial and hearty support of service organisations like Jana Sankshema Samithi, Seva Bharati-Vijayawada, Smile Foundation and Robin Hood.
