The making of the idols of Sita,Ram and Lakshman has reached the final stage to replace the ruined idol of Srirama in Ramatirtha, Vijayanagaram district, Andhrapradesh. On the 8th of this month, TTD received an appeal from the Endowment department for the manufacture of idols. Immediately the black stone was brought from Kanchi and the three Sculpters engaged in the making of the idols. The idol of Lord Rama is three and a half feet hight along with the pedestal and the idols of Seetha and Lakshmana are made 3 feet together with the pedestal. Although the sculpters said they would give the idols within the first 15 days .. But it was completed in just 10 days. It is expected to be completed by Wednesday evening. The information is that On the 21st, the temple officials will conduct pujas to the idols and will take to Ramatirtha from the TTD sculptural center.
