The 64th death anniversary of Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar was held in an inspiring way In Sanghamitra Seva Samiti Hostel, Nandyala, Kurnool District, Andhrapradesh.
Sanghamitra President Mr. K. Nagasubbareddi presided over the function. The director of Bharath Academy Shri. Gopi Krishna light the sacred lamp, Dharma Jagarana Pramukh Shri. Baisani Manohar offered the garland ( Malarpana). Sanghamitra State Assistant Secretary Shri. Chilukur Srinivas graced the stage.
Shri. Baisani Manohar explained that even Ambedkar came from very poor social background and even faced discrimination but how he overcame many obstacles and reach the highest level,
Shri Gopi Krishna said that Ambedkar was recognized as a great genius and the United Nations declared his death day as “World Intellectuals’ Day”. He advised the children to take the life of Dr. Ambedkar as inspiration and work for the development of the weaker sections of the society.
Sanghamitra state co-ordinator Srinivas said that with the inspiration of Ambedkar, Sanghamitra, being sanctified in their service of backward, weaker sections, Harijans and tribals.
Sanghamitra is organising Homeless boys’ hostel, medical services with mobile medical dispensary in tribal habitations, distribution of clothes, medical camps in Harijan colonies, abhyasikas for school children, coaching classes for the unemployed along with bhajans and many other service and cultural activities.
Vibhag Sangh Chalak Dr. Udaya Shankar, Vice President Shri. Joolepally Venkateshwarlu, organising Secretary Smt.. Jayashree Working Committee Members Smt. Venkateshwari, Dr. Ashok, Shri Maheshwarreddy, Shri Usirikayalu Ramanayya Gowdu, Shri E. Venkataiah and other elders participated in this programme.
