PSLV C-49 rocket successfully launches into sky from Satish Dhawan Space Center SHAR in Sriharikota. Scientists have launched 10 satellites into orbit via the PSLV C-49 carrier. Nine other foreign satellites, including India’s Earth Observation Satellite (EOS-01), have been launched into orbit. The Indian satellite EOS-01 will study agriculture and natural disasters.
Earlier PSLV C-49 launch was delayed by 10 minutes. All arrangements for the rocket launch were completed in SHAR but the launch was delayed due to heavy rain. Scientists, who had originally planned to launch at 3:02 a.m., launched the rocket ten minutes late at 3:12 p.m.
