Sanskarabharati, Andhra Pradesh organized ‘Swarataranga Yatra’ in Vijayawada on the birth anniversary of Sadguru Narayana Tirtha. Sadguru Narayana Tirtha was the devotee of Lord Krishna and also the eminent lyricist. Activists Started the Swarataranga Yatra from Vishwa Hindu Parishad office in Satyanarayanapuram, Vijayawada. Bhajans were performed in traditional shrine in Kaja village, the birthplace of Sri Krishna Tirtha.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Durbha Srinivas, State General Secretary, Sanskara bharathi, Andhrapradesh said that the arts are symbols of Indian heritage and the Sanskara Bharati strives for the betterment of the society by preserving them.
Sri Srinivas again explained that “The Bhajan is a wonderful art form that motivates and unites everyone in the society. Sadguru Sri Narayana Tirtha provided it in the form of Tarangas (waves) with musical and dance processes.Unfortunately now the bhajan tradition has disappeared. Changing the word ‘bhajan’ to a word that means something else should be understood as an intentional attack on Hindu culture and thus on society.”
Shri Gootala Ramakumar, Member of the National Censor Board Advisory Board , Shri VVN Krishna, Renowned stage actor and Shri Kappaganthula Ramakrishna, Member of the Telugu Sanskrit Academy and others were attended the programme.
