]]> Tirupathi: In connection with the famous folk festival, Gangamma Jatara, TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy has presented Sare to the folk Goddess in the Tataiahgunta Gangamma temple on Thursday.

Speaking to media on the occasion, he said, folk Goddess Gangamma is believed to be the sister of Sri Venkateswara Swamy. He said, according to the available historical evidences, Sri Anantalwar has consecrated the deity of Gangamma in this holy temple city.

In good olden days, even the devotees coming to Tirumala, first paid their visit to Gangamma temple before offering prayers to Sri Venkateswara Swamy, he maintained.
