]]> తంజావూరు: తమిళనాడులోని తంజావూరులో రూ.500 కోట్ల విలువైన మరకత లింగాన్ని సీఐడీ అధికారులు స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్నారు. కొన్నేళ్లుగా బ్యాంకు లాకర్‌లో పెట్టిన వ్యక్తులు, ఇటీవల దానిని బయటకు తీసుకొచ్చి అరులానందనగర్‌లోని ఓ ఇంట్లో దాచారు. ఆ నోటా ఈ నోటా సమాచారం సీఐడీ విగ్రహాల విభాగానికి చేర‌డంతో అధికారులు దానిని స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్నారు.

లింగం 530 గ్రాముల బరువు, ఎనిమిది సెంటీమీటర్ల పొడవు ఉన్నదని సీఐడీ అధికారులు తెలిపారు. మరకత లింగం ఒరిజనల్‌ అని నిపుణులు నిర్ధారించారు. శాస్త్రీయ విశ్లేషణ చేయడంతో పాటు అది ఏ దేవాలయానికి చెందినదో తేల్చాల్సి ఉంది. కుంభకోణం కోర్టుకు లింగాన్ని శనివారం చూపించామని, కేసు దర్యాప్తు చేస్తున్నామని అధికారులు తెలిపారు.

]]> The AP government has set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe cases of attacks on temples and destruction of idols in the state.The government has issued orders appointing SIT will have 16members headed by ACB Additional Director GVG Ashok Kumar. Krishna district SP Ravindra Babu and others were given a place in the team. The government has directed a special investigation team to probe cases on vandalism of idols since September 20 last year and also to seek the co-operation of the forensic, CID and cyber crime departments.

On the other hand, it is learned that the government has already ordered a CID investigation led by Additional DG Sunil Kumar is ongoing on the incident of Vijayanagaram district’s Ramathiratham temple.
