]]> Chief Minister YS Jagan conducted a bhumi puja for the reconstruction of 9 temples near Prakasam Barrage in Vijayawada city.The foundation stone was laid for the development and expansion of Durgugudi at a cost of Rs 77 crore. The event was attended by several ministers and representatives of the people.After the Bhoomi Puja, the CM visited Kanakadurga temple.

The 9 temples on the banks of the Krishna River were demolished by former TDP government led by then Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu during the 2016 pushkars. This government has now taken steps to rebuild them in the same place.
